Preparation & Trimming

• Remove the tulips from the wrapping and place them in a clean vase with fresh water.
• Trim 1-2 cm off the stems at an angle using a sharp knife or scissors to improve water absorption.
• Remove any leaves that fall below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth.

Water & Hydration

• Fill the vase with cool, clean water—tulips are sensitive to warm temperatures.
• Change the water daily to keep the stems fresh and free of bacteria.
• If tulips appear slightly wilted upon arrival, wrap them in paper and place them in deep water for an hour to help them rehydrate.

Placement & Temperature

• Keep the bouquet in a cool location, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or strong drafts.
• Tulips continue to grow after being cut, sometimes bending towards light. Rotate the vase to keep them upright.
• To extend their lifespan, place them in a cool room overnight.

Ethylene Sensitivity & Storage

• Keep tulips away from ripening fruits, as they release ethylene gas that shortens the flowers’ lifespan.
• Store in a tall vase to support the stems and prevent drooping.
